Solar Farm Constructions is seeking a skilled and experienced Drilling Operator/Mechanic to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the maintenance and repair of plant and equipment, demonstrating the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine maintenance on drill rigs, including servicing, inspections, lubrication, track maintenance, repairs, and cleaning.
  • Diagnose and repair breakdowns promptly to minimize downtime and save costs.
  • Perform thorough inspections to identify potential issues and address them proactively.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Collaborate with drilling manager and other team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely repairs.
  • Keep detailed records of all maintenance and repair activities, equipment usage, and any incidents or safety violations. Complete required paperwork/pre-start checks and reports in a timely manner.
  • Work with a sense of urgency and efficiency to meet deadlines.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while operating machinery. Conduct regular safety inspections of the work area and equipment to identify and mitigate potential hazards. Remain familiar with the contents of SWMS and site safety regulations and must comply with all requests of management in compliance with safety standards.

Requirements:

  • Experienced drilling operation, competent in all weather, ground, and working condition variables.
  • Proven experience as a Plant and Machinery Mechanic, preferably with drill rigs.
  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, ability to diagnose machinery issues and fix an extensive variety of issues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Proactive approach to maintenance and the ability to anticipate potential issues.
  • Certification or relevant training in heavy equipment maintenance is preferred.
