Roster: 8D/6R (dayshift only, call-out) – FIFO ex Perth As an Operations and Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the upkeep and smooth operation of our Hydrogen Refuelling, Liquefaction and 3MW Fast Charge facilities.
Your duties will involve maintenance, diagnostics, repair and servicing of equipment.
You will play a crucial role in ensuring that all activities are conducted in compliance with safety standards and regulations, while also contributing to the efficient operation of our Green Energy facilities.
You will be required to have experience in high-level instrumentation diagnostics and calibration as well as an understanding of EEHA equipment and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities Perform high-level instrumentation diagnostics and calibration for pressure, temperature, gas detection, flow and level.
Maintain and troubleshoot EEHA (Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas) equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Utilise your experience in electrolysis and gas production/handling to contribute to the efficient operation of the facilities.
Handle communications systems related to facility operations.
Demonstrate a strong understanding of PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), including diagnostics and fault finding.
Perform routine maintenance tasks to keep equipment running smoothly and prevent downtime.
Qualifications and Experience Previous experience in Oil & Gas Process Plant or High-Pressure Gas.
Certification in Cert IV Instrumentation (Cert III desirable) and Certification in Cert IV Hazardous Areas.
Supervised Gas Fitter certification (Supervising Gas Fitters desirable).
Restricted gas fitting permit (licence) Class I(a) I(b), Class P (unrestricted desirable).
ATCO Stream 1 & Stream 2 certification – introduction, commissioning, servicing and maintenance on Hydrogen systems (desirable).
Previous experience with electrolysis and gas production/handling; proficiency in communications systems; strong understanding of PLCs, including diagnostics and fault finding.
