This is a great opportunity for someone with experience or seeking to gain exposure to a variety of electrical apparatus in an industrial environment.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Diagnose and repair faults on electrical fixed plant machinery, equipment, and infrastructure e.g., control circuits, motors, and LV circuits.

  • Conduct preventative maintenance on electrical fixed plant machinery, equipment, and infrastructure.
  • Work in conjunction with other Maintenance team members and production operators.
  • Electrical installations in accordance with Australian Standards and Regulations supervised by the site in-house licence holder (nominee).
  • Statutory testing e.g., RCD testing, testing and tagging portable appliances, emergency lighting etc.
  • Complete risk assessments as required e.g. Take 5s and JSAs
  • Follow isolation procedures
  • Comply fully with all relevant Bradken, Nation and Western Australian policies, standards, regulations, codes of practice and laws.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and design of electrical installations and control systems.
  • Input data and work history into the Maintenance Management System (MEX).

Key Criteria:

Unrestricted Western Australian “A” grade Electrical Worker Licence.



  • Industrial experience
  • Instrumentation experience
  • Experience repairing welding equipment
  • Familiarity to PLC’s, VSD’s and control systems
  • High Voltage switching
  • High Risk Work Licences: Elevated Work Platform & Forklift
  • Recent LV Rescue & Provide CPR training
  • Strong mechanical aptitude

Required Capabilities:

  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Great personal organisation and self-motivation to prioritise tasks
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings
  • Ability to work effectively and follow all electrical procedures, standards, codes of practice and regulations unsupervised.
