Your future role



Take on a new challenge and apply your Electrical expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll report to Shift Supervisor, and work alongside a close-knit team of technical professionals who support the Sydney Light Rail operation in Randwick. You’ll play a critical role performing preventative maintenance programmes and repair of the signalling and telecoms equipment. You will also regularly monitor signalling and telecoms defects and failures in traffic, and liaise with key stakeholders, suppliers & sub-contractors. This role will be permanent night shift, from 10pm – 6am.



We’ll look to you for:


  • Maintaining Signalling and telecoms equipment in accordance with specified procedures.
  • Performing fault troubleshooting, investigation and diagnostic tests.
  • Mitigating the risk of in-service failures through proactive intervention.
  • Installing system hardware and software upgrades.
  • Performing isolations as necessary.
  • Daily and weekly reporting on activities, issues found and measures taken.

  • Experience in telecommunications or transport would be preferred.
  • Certificate III in Electrotechnology.
  • A current NSW Electrical Licence.
